School DVDs In mid June 2007, ACMF sent a copy of a new DVD available to each school in Australia. The DVD provides an insight into the chicken meat industry and covers many aspects that are directly relevant to the school curriculum.
Extensive supporting material for class rooms for use before, during and after viewing the DVD is available both for primary schools as well as secondary schools.
If you are a teacher and are unable to locate the DVD, send us an email and we will post one to you. Other interested people can order the DVD for a nominal fee to cover some of the costs. To read more about ordering a DVD, click here.
In 2007 and 2008, ACMF offered a school competition with attractive prizes to be won to promote the use of the DVD and its supporting material in Australian class rooms. To access the list of winners and a selection of winning entries, click on the respective year:
If you are interested in this type of educational material, you may also find the LandLearn NSW website a useful resource. In particular, there are some further videos available on the theme of "Where does our food come from?". To access that page on the LandLearn NSW website directly, click here.
On the accompanying pages, we make available for download a broad range of supporting material which should make it easier for teachers to integrate the DVD into their teaching activities.
