Australian Standard for the Construction of Premises and Hygenic Production of Poultry Meat for Human Consumption (AS4465)

The latest published version AS 4465: 2005 published in 2006 is now available for download.  Hard copies can be obtained for from CSIRO Publishing, Ph 1300 788 000, www.publish.csiro.au (search for 4465).

Part A of this Standard applies to the construction and equipment of all processing premises where poultry are slaughtered for the production of poultry meat for human consumption.  It contains the minimum construction requirments for premises used for the production of wholesome poultry meat.

Part B of this Standard applies to the hygenic production for human consumption of products derived from poultry.  However, it does not apply to the retailing of poultry meat and poultry meat productions
