Use of Antibiotics

The chicken meat industry very much appreciates the concerns that consumers sometimes have regarding the use of antibiotics. Antibiotics are under strict control and are only used in accordance with authorizations issued by the relevant federal and state bodies. A set of three papers stating the industry’s position is available as PDF files for download. The ACMF Antibiotic Policy provides the formal industry policy statement, while the ACMF Antibiotics Policy Consumer Summary is a shorter version covering the same issues. Finally, the Annotated Biography provides a list of the most relevant information in support of the ACMF Antibiotics Policy.
