Rearing Farm

One day old chicks are transported from the hatchery to the broiler rearing farm where they will be kept until they have reached the size required for processing. This film extract shows what a chicken shed looks like and how chicken farmers (growers) care for the birds. The film also explains the important concept of farm biosecurity which ensures that diseases are kept out of chicken sheds.
